Candace - Oceania was invited to be the keynote speaker at the University of Michigan’s Department of American Culture 2026 graduation ceremony. She explores the question about what it means to be American and highlights some of her own experiences and learnings throughout her journey of becoming a multifaceted and multicultural professional and creative. In closing, Oceania congratulates students and encourages them that they are most needed in the workforce today where institutions are grappling with the topics of diversity and culture in the workplace.
